Compliance Technology Manager

One of SGA's top financial clients is seeking a Compliance Technology
Manager
for a full time position in New York, NY.

Main Function:

We are looking to add an experienced technology manager who can lead a team
of 15 - 20 technologists and technical business analysts to deliver
Sanctions Screening and AML Surveillance solutions across our Broker Dealer
and Wealth Management businesses. Must be familiar with front to back
capital market business flows as they pertain to trades, payments, wires and
journals; also must be familiar with the major global regulatory
requirements. Knowledge of Actimize and Mantas commercial surveillance
products, Viveo and Datanomic Compliance screening solutions is strongly
desired. Full life cycle experience and proven ability to manage a complex
set of stakeholders is essential. Demonstrated ability to deliver cross
divisional programs with a globally distributed delivery model. The
candidate needs to demonstrate significant experience in the Financial
Crimes domain with proven leadership and management capability.

Main Duties:

Requirements:

: Minimum 2:1 or equivalent degree from a recognized university or
Bachelor's Degree from a recognized 4 year college or university.

Qualification / Education Required

Qualification Preferred

Experience Required

* Minimum 10 years of experience with full life-cycle software
development
* Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience. PMI or PRINCE2
certification a plus.

* Prior experience with design, development and implementation of AML
Surveillance, KYC systems, and Sanctions screening solutions at a major
brokerage firm.

* Experience of working in detail with Investment Banking products and
processes.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships with
members of the business and technology communities.
* Enforcing a process-oriented perspective on the overall project
life-cycle workflow.

Experience Preferred

* Experience working with the Compliance function within an Investment
Bank
.

* Strong IT skills and background, especially in the financial
services industry
; comfortable with computer based tools, processes and
workflows.
* Background in software development would be considered a plus.

* Manage a portfolio of development projects and enforce best-practice
in all related functions.
* Establish the governance and resource capability to clearly
prioritize and deliver the FinCrimes book of work.
* Define a strategic roadmap together with the Client architecture and
implementation roadmap for the FinCrime systems portfolio.
* Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders within the
Compliance business function and other Technology teams
* Oversee data analysis, gathering of technical specifications and
creation of functional design documents.
* Guide the business and data analysts in evaluating system
requirements
, and propose optimal architectures and solutions in line with
the Client architecture.
