VP of Regional Sales - Western U.S.  (could be virtual)
 

 

Newly created role will drive growth in the Western US for growing health services company.  Unique opportunity to join an organization whose goal is to  make a significant and positive impact on the healthcare system. The Regional VP, Sales is responsible for meeting annual sales goals by identifying, following, and developing leads to build existing and new client business. This position is remotely based and requires extensive travel. Significant community work in order to make key influencers of RFP (government and commercial RFPs) content aware of company's capabilities and to shape the content of the RFPs in advance of their release.  When RFPs are received, the VP Regional Sales is responsible for leading the strategy of responding to the RFP, identifying the need for program development, data analysis, custom responses, and will edit the response to insure that it is consistent with the decided strategy.  Upon successful completion of a sale, the VP Regional Sales will communicate sufficiently to insure a smooth transition to the implementation team and account manager assigned to the account. Participates as a member of the Business Development Team by attending trainings on company and product development, communicating with Business Intelligence regarding opportunities in region, sharing intelligence learned from own meeting and conference attendance that may shape product development activities, and advises other sales staff and/or account management of opportunities they have learned of in their areas.

 

Previous exp in a sales/business development role with a health plan, wellness company, DM company or similar organization in health services space required.  Prefer a clinician but will consider other proven professionals with solid understanding of medical management.  Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge of who the influencers and decision makers are in the various markets assigned, i.e.; employer, government, school district, public agency. Ability to analyze opportunities from a variety of perspectives, i.e.; pricing, product, company's capabilities, potential profitability, opportunity cost, etc. and make recommendations.  Exp in creating response to RFP's both commercial accounts and government. Willing to travel 50% +.
