Reporting to the Head of Medical Writing, the Lead Medical Writer will be
responsible for leading the medical writing activities for multiple projects
or a business unit. Responsible for timely preparation of investigators'

Education & Experience Requirements

position that's the contact person for publication management and medical
information. This includes the development and maintenance of the
publication plan and management of the call center to ensure timely

-> Familiarity with the entire life cycle of a development project

Administrative Experience:

-> Crafting contracts and scope of work descriptions

Technical Experience:

-> Enterprise experience with custom software development experience and/or
technical infrastructure projects

Project management methodologies:

-> Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

-> Experience managing of SharePoint/MOSS implementations

-> Management of project financials/budget, schedule, and scope

-> Creation and utilization of detailed project plans to level resource
utilization and track project's earned value

-> Management of multisite teams (offshore/India) and experience mitigating
associated issues & risks

-> Experience with standard software development lifecycle (SDLC), MSF/RUP,
and Agile methodologies

-> Advanced proficiency with MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
and Project Workspace

-> 10-12 years of increasingly diverse or complex experience and at least
8-10 years of management experience at the executive level

-> Demonstrated understanding of key Project Management disciplines
(estimating, work planning, contract management, scope management, user
acceptance, etc.)

-> Must be able to travel, potentially up to 80% of the time

Preferred qualifications:

-> PMP certification (preferred)

-> Account Management/Customer Relationship Management-type experience

-> Experience managing multiple small consulting projects in parallel

-> Proven ability to sell consulting services to new and existing customers

-> Relevant industry knowledge
