Embedded Firmware Engineer

 

Duration – 6 months +

 

Description

Client is a leading provider of intelligent monitoring solutions for electrical demand, energy and power quality for Smart Grid applications. Client measuring instruments utilize state of the art embedded microprocessor technology with web enabled interfaces. Client now has the need for an Embedded Firmware Engineer at its Edison, New Jersey facility.

 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•     Design and develop firmware for 16 and 32 bit embedded processors for data acquisition and post processing analysis

•     Ability to use high end circuit emulators, debuggers, compilers and assemblers

•     Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software

•     Develop software for custom hardware including implementation and testing

•     Ability to work effectively solo or in a team environment.

 

Education and or Experience

•     Minimum 3 years of experience

•     Experienced using multi thread RTOS

•     C, C++ and assembly languages

•     Competency in creating low level hardware drivers

•     Strong analytical and math skills

•     Ability to use an oscilloscope and logic analyzers to troubleshoot hardware interaction with firmware
