Job Description

We're looking for a talented and high-energy individual to join our winning
team of design engineers, who make a difference each and every day in their
design and fabrication of custom power solutions.

In this position, you will be responsible for design and analysis of
electric motors in the area of insulation systems, electromagnetic circuits,
power systems, etc. You'll:

1. Work as a part of a team to develop new products and modify existing
products to meet customer demands in the market place.
2. Integrate design with those of others in the development project.
3. Coordinate project work internally within the motors group and
externally with other departments,
4. Evaluate test results and/or field feedback and improve the designs
as necessary to achieve optimum performance, customer satisfaction and cost.

5. Assure DFM by working with the OPEX team and Value Stream Manager
during the design phase and minimizing part count. Assure part
standardization.
6. Perform basic analyses to ensure effective electrical performance of

7. Develop bills of material and product cost using PDM, (Solid Works).
Assure transfer of part numbers and BOM's into the ERP system.
8. Assist or lead team in problem identification, correction and
verification.
9. Learn valuable leadership skills as you participate in Kaizen events
to improve the value stream, processes and products.

Desired Skills & Experience

* BSEE
* US Citizenship due to DoD contract requirements.
* Three to five years experience in motor design; solid understanding
of standard design practices.
* Knowledge of various types of manufacturing equipment and their uses
/ limitations.
* 3D experience - SolidWorks preferred.
* Proven analytical skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Position Overview
 Senior Associates design and facilitate the customized research solutions that our clients request, creating innovative approaches on each client assignment.  They work directly with their own book of clients (up to seven figures worth of revenue) and report to the Head of their respective Research Team.  You will gain access to incredible experience, insights and skills that will serve you during your career  and beyond. Senior Associate Program Overview: Approximately the first six months of your employment will consist of a training period as a Junior Associate.  Upon completion of the training period, Junior Associates will be expected to elevate to the Senior Associate position.
 
Key Responsibilities
Junior Associate
* Complete fast-paced training program
* Develop ability to execute custom projects - consultations, surveys, and special projects
* Learn how to establish and grow relationships with thought leaders suited to assist clients with their research requests
* Develop working knowledge of relevant industry dynamics
* Learn policies and procedures for protecting the integrity of client engagements
* Work collaboratively in partnerships to develop knowledge of client relationships
* Learn to:
* Understand client research workflows and objectives
* Oversee and manage client service process to ensure optimal satisfaction
* Recommend premium experts, products, and services based on each client's specific research objectives
* Develop business acumen, time-management skills, professionalism, and communication skills
 
Senior Associate
* Own full accountability and responsibility for select clients by serving as a thought partner to design and deliver on custom projects - consultations, surveys, and special projects
* Work collaboratively in partnerships to ensure the growth and success of our highest priority clients.
* Establish and grow relationships with thought leaders suited to assist  clients with their research requests. 
* Maintain substantive knowledge of relevant industry dynamics
* Implement policies and procedures for protecting the integrity of client engagements
* Work in collaborative interoffice teams to grow and promote client relationships
* Support the efforts of  Business Development team to grow revenue through growth of existing business and pursuit of new business
* Mentor new Research professionals
* Develop and implement personal strategies to:
* Understand client research workflows and objectives
* Oversee and manage client service process to ensure optimal satisfaction
* Recommend premium experts, products, and services based on each client's specific research objectives
 
Required Skills
For this position, we seek applicants with bachelors or masters degrees from top-tier colleges or universities, or equivalent work experience.  The following factors will strengthen an applicant's candidacy: 
 
* Superior communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated oral, written and presentation abilities;
* Demonstrated commitment and attention to detail, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
* Strong problem-solving skills;
* Passion for fast-paced learning, especially in a technology-enabled environment;
* Passion for sales and conversation, especially a successful track record in phone sales or outreach;
* Ability to communicate and manage relationships across the full professional spectrum including senior colleagues and extremely senior outside professionals;
* Undergraduate or graduate GPA of 3.3 or better; and
* Interest in building a business and in all business-building related activities.
 
Proficiency in any of the following languages a plus:  German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Korean and/or Japanese.

* Drive creative/corporate messaging for events programs.
* Collaborate with other departments on special projects and initiatives.
* Become a trusted resource on customer retention, account penetration and new customer development.
* Provide leadership and direction to other team members to improve Marketing’s capabilities and achieve its objectives.
* Identify risks and challenges and recommend actions to mitigate risk and overcome challenges.
Desired Skills & Experience
* A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
* 5+ years of relevant marketing experience preferably in technology/software environments; enterprise software marketing experience is desired. B2B marketing agency experience is a plus.
* Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing communications programs.
* Strong project management skills; comfortable working independently and in teams to create and meet deadlines.
* Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and solve problems analytically.
* A track record of driving, from concept to publishing, innovative, creative marketing materials, printed and online, as well as managing outside creative resources.
* Proven abilities with creating, implementing and measuring the success of corporate events programs and managing events professionals.
* Exemplary verbal/written communication skills with a confidence-inspiring manner.
* At ease presenting and influencing large and small groups, e.g., Terra’s leadership, peers and
direct reports.
* An engaging personality to inspire, create trust and excitement with team members and customers.
* Can-do attitude and the ability to achieve or exceed objectives while working in concert with other teams’ members and colleagues.
* Understanding of the consumer products industry and/or supply chain would be beneficial.
* Ability to travel as needed.
