Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for facilitating and developing the
planning, roadmap and landscape for IT applications supporting business
operations. The role requires a thought leader, who can facilitate &
interact with Application Managers, senior IT and Business leadership, to
communicate and drive governance around a vision and in-depth understanding
of data and data models as well as support hands-on initiatives in their
architecture needs.

The position's prime responsibility will be to provide leadership and vision
across the IT organizations technology portfolio and landscape. Functional &
data Architectures, development platform architectures, integration and
middleware architectures, decision support architectures, digital asset &
document architectures, infrastructure architectures, as well as security
architectures will be core areas of focus for this role.

The Enterprise Architecture has the purpose to help the business reach
greater value from the information systems, through better planning and
leverage of IT investments, with a focus on innovation and translation of IT
capabilities into business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

· Maximize the business value of global and local initiatives by
ensuring effective alignment of IT investment and use of common technology
solutions to manage critical business data and processes

· Develop the process and framework for reviewing and maintaining IT
solutions and landscape in an effective and efficient way to deliver maximum
business benefit over time

· Communicate and influence key stakeholders in an effective manner
the value & benefit of the IT roadmap in support of key business objectives

· Achieve the most efficient operations providing highest business
value through effective lifecycle management of IT solutions and identify
key capabilities necessary to meet emerging business needs

· Organize and lead internal and external resources to solve the
technical challenges of a software project insuring alignment with overall
enterprise architecture roadmaps

· Lead selection/development and implementation of innovative,
technology-based solutions that will result in a reliable, flexible,
coherent and cost-effective global infrastructure for the benefit of all.

· Develop and maintain expertise and leadership across the
enterprise for all applications and/or infrastructure technologies,
methodologies, analytical methods and/or processes ensuring that they
operate to and meet or exceed the service level standards (SLAs)

· Develop enterprise infrastructure solutions and business
application systems according to the company technology policies and
standards that meet the processing and information needs of clients
(internal and/or external) and implement them on-time and on-budget

· Ensure that the total cost of ownership, the return on investment,
the hurdle rates and other financial measures are adhered to in partnership
with the applications developers and architects prior to the commencement of
any software development effort

· Collaborate with entire IT Sr. Management team to research third
party products and solutions, and bring innovative, value-enriching
technology-based solutions to the company.

· Meet or exceed the IT Audit requirements and the business
continuity and disaster recovery standards and procedures

· Meet the Data Integrity, Process Integrity, Infrastructure
Technology, and Audit & Security enterprise architecture requirements of the
company and ensure that software is developed according to the software
development standards established by the IT organization

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 10-12 years' experience in IT required, with a focus on
architecture, design and leadership

· 5+ years' experience in IT Management

· Experience in developing and/or operating global, enterprise-wide
technology infrastructures in two or more of the following IT disciplines:
Platform Services (desktops & mobile devices), Data Center Planning and
Operations, Global Telecommunications, Data Stores and OLAP (data
warehouses, data marts, data bases), Global Service Desk, Web Technologies,
Field Support and Branch Operations, Enterprise IT Security, IT Architecture
(Process and information, applications, technology architectures),
application development methodologies, and/or application development
tools/techniques/practices

· Experience in Cloud Services Architecture with multi-data center
applications and use of Cloud Computing such as PaaS, IaaS & SaaS

· Broad range of experience in different aspects of Enterprise IT
efforts such as Identity Management & Security, Content Management,
Collaboration, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, ERP systems and
other horizontal areas

· Demonstrated fluency and comfort in communicating & facilitating
alignment on IT architecture topics

· Working knowledge on establishing EA frameworks and familiarity
with standard EA framework (TOGAF, EAF DODAF)

· A fundamental understanding of several of the following concepts:
SDLC, Access Management, Master Data Management, EDI, ITIL framework, SOA,
.NET, Web 2.0 concepts, ERP, mobility standards

· Experience in the technology infrastructure and in the
applications layer with a proven track record for delivering business
application systems on-time, on-budget, and functionally on-target

· Experience in translating business requirements into technical
specifications and in developing prototypes and in launching pilot tests

· Experience with broad technical knowledge, management discipline,
strong leadership and organization skills, creativity and technical vision.

· Familiar with n-tier application architecture.

· Technology consulting and implementation experience with large
organizations and installations. E-business and e-commerce implementation
experience a plus.

· Knowledgeable of advanced Internet technologies and emerging
standards for web and mobile application development

· Experience with software selection processes including gap
analysis, best fit analysis, build versus buy, and leveraging SaaS
applications

· Experience with portfolio rationalization simplification efforts
for large enterprises; including systems retirement and consolidation
planning and implementation
