Job Description

Job Title: Benefits Analyst

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Director, Global Benefits Strategy and Operations

FLSA Status: Temporary

SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Benefits Analyst for a temporary assignment
expected to last approximately six months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.

Manages implementation and administration of employee benefit programs for
non-union and union populations. Benefits programs include both retirement
and health & welfare.
Participates in selected key projects, including:

• Implementation of comprehensive wellness program
• Dependent eligibility audit
• System conversion for benefits and payroll processing
• Implementation of new pension system
• Preparation of materials for auditor review

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree required

Minimum of five years experience in administration and/or management of
employee benefits

Knowledge of benefits administration, including Section 125 regulations,
COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, IRS, FLSA regulations.

Experience with PeopleSoft preferred

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong verbal and written communication skills

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong math skills

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to research complex questions, conduct complex analysis of claims,
budget projections, etc.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CEBS preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of

Excellent opportunity for a Submission Data File (SDF) Developers based
anywhere around the country.

1.) Description:

The programming function within Clinical Development Biostatistics is
responsible for producing data sets, tables, listings, graphs, and other
kinds of output.

2.) Scope:

- The consultant will work off-site under the direction of a supervisor.
- The SDF Implementers role will be devoted to producing data sets for
inclusion in clinical study reports. The data sets (initially CDISC SDTM
3.1.1 and potentially ADaM datasets at some point in the future) will be
created using the in-house SDF system.
- Take part in weekly implementation meetings and contribute to the
improvement of business processes around the use of the system.
- Once familiar with both the system and CDISC data standards there will be
the opportunity to take part in the software development and support of GSPs
expanding portfolio of software systems.

3.) Technical Requirements:

- Working within the constraints of the current system and business
processes
- Completing documentation
- Coding to conventions provided by Company/CDISC
- Coding, testing, and performing production runs in UNIX environment
- Identifying data issues that affect programming decisions or the integrity
of results
- Extracting data from the clinical trials database using a standard
utility
- SAS Macro development (specification/coding/testing)
- Applying source code control procedures for custom SAS Macro Development

Work will be monitored through a combination of reviews, documentation
audits, and output reviews. At their discretion, Company may use other means
to assess the quality and acceptability of any work product.

The consultant will require accounts to several computer systems. The
programming manager will ensure that accounts are correctly established.
Along with the accounts comes access to proprietary data and information.
Contractor must perform all specified work exclusively on Company systems
and comply with corporate information security procedures.

4.) Deliverables, Reports, Data, Project Meetings

The consultant will be responsible for three classes of deliverables:

- Documentation
- Source code
- Program output

Company may require the consultant to attend project meetings to discuss:

- Project status
- Deliverables
- Programming issues needing resolution
