Information Systems Application Intern - Morris County, NJ
We are currently seeking an Information Systems Intern for a minimum of 20
hours per week. In this position, you will gain valuable hands-on experience
in all aspects of Information Systems. This position will be throughout the
entire year so the college needs to be local and you must be at least a
Junior.
You will assist the Enterprise Architecture team with the development and/or
maintenance of various applications. You will also be an interface between
various customers and development team to help them in understanding the
applications and best practices to use them. You will mostly work with Java
based application. You might also be asked to work with the group with
creating HTML/JSP web pages, custom portlets using Java/J2ee technologies.
Additionally, you will assist with application support and enhancements.
This position requires excellent presentation and communication skills.
Education/Experience Requirements: Qualified candidates will be currently
enrolled in an undergraduate program, in at least your junior year of study;
Candidates may also be in a graduate program, in an accredited program with
a concentration in Information Technology along with business management or
related field. Prior experience in a corporate business environment is
preferred; experience in an Information Technology Department is a plus.
Candidate should be good problem solvers and have understanding of basic
algorithms. It is required that you have strong interpersonal, communication
and time management skills as well as a proficiency in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, and Power Point). Knowledge of using some of the following
programming languages, software programs, technologies and/or skills is
preferred: HTML, DHTML, JAVA, XML, CSS, and Database concepts.

Job Duties
CONSTRUCTION PHASE

troubleshooting, repair of electrical equipment
The electrician is expected to be part of the installation team for a group
of solar projects, then once the systems are built, the electrician will
monitor and maintain the systems for potentially the system's life (about 25
years).

TEKsystems, a leading provider of strategic Information Technology and
communications services, is currently seeking a career oriented individual
for an opportunity as an in-house Recruiter.
TEKsystems is a division of Allegis Group, providing our clients with
technical professionals in the applications, infrastructure, and
communications service areas. The nation's largest IT staffing firm, we have
over 100 field offices located across the United States, Canada, and
Europe.
Our Recruiters work with our clients, TEKsystems Sales Managers, Customer
Service Associates and others to identify, screen, interview, present and
hire qualified candidates for contract and permanent positions.
Qualified candidates for the Recruiter position will:
• Develop recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified candidates
through various recruiting tools
• Evaluate candidates' strengths compared with clients' requirements by, for
example, evaluating, screening, and interviewing the candidate.
• Negotiate wage rates and other terms and conditions of employment with
candidates, and gain commitment from candidates for current and future job
requirements.
• Complete necessary pre-employment processes including reference checks and
background/drug tests.
• Manage contract employees while on assignment. Assess and investigate
contractor related problems, and administer performance counseling,
coaching, and disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Work with Account Managers to identify top accounts, target skill sets,
key market segments, and to assess clients' staffing requirements.
• Communicate effectively with others in order to create a productive and
diverse environment.
• Communicate with peers by sharing recruiting "best practices" and
providing accurate, thorough documentation on contract employees in
applicant tracking systems or other documentation tools.
• Maintain relationships with industry contacts to provide customer service,
gain industry knowledge, and get referrals and sales leads.
Qualified candidates for the Recruiter position must:
• Have a Bachelor's degree or related sales or recruiting experience.
• Be available to work before/after typical office hours as work may
demand.
• Possess strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Word and MS Outlook (or similar email
application).
• Have work experience in a service-oriented business.
• Have a desire to learn and advance in a fast paced sales environment, and
be capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion to accomplish
goals and work requirements.
• Be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
